And in the end, your relationship will have more trust because of it.
In some situations, you might even have to switch places. “If you think ‘ouch’ when someone offers you sex, you might want to try other positions that are more comfortable for people with different abilities, as well as those who have chronic pain or pain from penetration,” says Parks. But just because you’ve found a position that doesn’t hurt doesn’t mean it’s your only choice.
